| All Aboard! Mini-express train on track to pick up passengers at Town Square | |
LAS VEGAS ( September 16, 2011) - An electric train with a locomotive and four passenger wagons will set its wheels in motion through the streets of Town Square on Sunday, September 18. The electric train is trackless and powered by a silent 48-volt motor. Patrons can board the train Sunday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. A conductor will be on board to take passengers on their journey though the open-air center. “The train is a great fit for the family environment at Town Square,” said Jaimesen Mapes, marketing director. “We’re always looking for exciting new entertainment options at the center, and a train ride is something families can do together without breaking the bank.” Children and adults can ride the mini-express train for $3, and adults with children under three years ride for free. Tickets are available at the Town Square Concierge and can be purchased in advance or the day of the ride. The train will run daily during center hours and it can seat up to 22 children and/or adults. The mini-express train is manufactured by Wattman Trains & Trams. The company manufactures electrically powered vehicles that are pollution free, silent, maneuverable and safe. The trains are inspired by nineteenth-century designs and crafted with the best materials. |
