| What to do: Get Your Patio in Shape for spring The weather is heating up and so should your plans for outdoor entertaining. Step away from spring cleaning your closet and get your outdoor furniture in guest-ready shape. The top trend in resort-style outdoor living is clean lines and simple sophistication, according to Robb & Stucky. The furniture store at Town Square has a few tips to share when searching for the perfect patio décor. It’s important to be prepared with information about your outdoor space such as size, whether it is covered or uncovered, if it includes an outdoor kitchen, etc. and know your budget. Take note of options for each piece including varying sizes, shapes and heights and consider how many people you want to seat at the dining table and/or bar. Keep in mind that if you live in a condominium, taller furnishings might accommodate the views better and allow you and your guests to see over the railing. One of the biggest mistakes home owners can make in creating their outdoor room is to incorporate indoor furnishings in exterior spaces. Outdoor furniture should be made with materials such as all-weather wicker, cast aluminum and teak that are specifically made to endure the exposure to rain, wind and heat. For more inspirational ideas for your outdoor entertaining area, ask the design team at Robb & Stucky or visit the web page http://www.robbstucky.com/. | | |
